Brief Update

Been busy.

Went to the National Army Museum, which has a great children's play area. We plan to go back. Here's E inside a tank. He was trying to figure out how everything inside of there worked, hence the intense expression.

Went to visit his new cousin last week. B multitasked by swiping at E's drooly chin with a tissue while holding his newborn nephew.

E is not quite 18 months old and is recognizing some written letters and is able to identify them when asked and say the sound. I'm a bit scared.

Snow'n'Stuff

It's been really cold, and we got a couple of inches of snow recently. I've been doing a fair amount of cooking and other mundane activites, but I've been meaning to catch up with emails! So I'll keep this post short and sweet, mostly pictures and video. Enjoy.

Setting off last weekend for a frosty ramble across Wimbledon Common.

Homemade carrot and barley soup and freshly-baked spelt bread. I have my healthy, housewifey moments here and there.

E in the park as dusk fell. The sun sets just before 4pm here. It's never felt right to me. Having grown up further south, the lack of sun gets to me sometimes.

And last, but not least, a video. There's a little green square half a block away that E and I walked to while it was snowing to get him some exercise. He made lots of tracks with his boots and saw two older children making snow angels and a snowman. Then it was back inside for hot cocoa.
